because imperfect things deserve love too
Meet our Rescued Treasures
There's a box in our workshop that fills up slowly all year. Pieces with a mark here, a stiff zip there, or just a story to tell.
They're not quite right for full stock, but they're far too good to waste - so once a year, we open it up and give them a second life through Rescued Treasures.
We don't believe in waste - especially when it comes to something made with care. Leather that's been worked by hand, hardware set by a craftsman, linings cut and stitched by skilled hands… it all deserves another chance.
Our Rescued Treasures event is our way of honouring that process - passing on perfectly functional (if slightly flawed) pieces to those who see beauty in imperfection. It's become something of a tradition around here, and our way of saying thank you to our community each year.
Every rescued piece has been:
- Hand-checked to ensure it’s clean, functional, and ready to use.
- Categorised by imperfection type so you know exactly what to expect.
- Priced fairly, depending on the nature of the flaw.
These pieces are extremely limited - often just one or two per design - and subscribers get first pick.
You can read more about each imperfection type in the "Understanding the Imperfections " section below.
A scuff. A water mark. A loose stitch. Maybe a zipper that needs a gentle hand. Each one is a reminder that every product in our collection is made by real people - not machines - and that a little imperfection can add a lot of charm.
Each piece is listed under its imperfection type, with a note on what that means - so you'll know the kind of flaw you're getting, even if every one is a little different.
It might be more (or less) noticeable than you imagine, but it'll always fit its category - no surprises, just good stories.
Understanding the Imperfections
What to expect from each rescued piece
Scuffs, marks or blemishes picked up in the workshop, on display or along the way. Purely cosmetic - the kind of thing leather wears well anyway.
Zippers that don’t glide smoothly - some may catch or have a slight kink in the teeth.
Bags that braved the elements - a few scuffs, water marks, or dusty edges tell their story.
Edges finished a little rough or uneven. Purely cosmetic.
Inner lining flaws like loose stitches or small pocket holes - invisible to the outside world.
Rivets or poppers that are stiff, loose or occasionally missing. Usually a quick fix for any cobbler or leather repair shop.
Visible stitch irregularities or loose threads - some with partially loose pocket flaps. Mostly cosmetic, priced accordingly.
Broken zips, mis-stitched pockets or other functional faults. These will need a repair before they're ready to wear, which is why they carry the biggest reductions.
